About 400 employees are expected to be added to the FedEx Hub at the PTIA over the next several months, according to the K-Vegas Business Journal

Cracker Barrel plans a new location in Union Cross. The Pecan Lane location has frontage on Union Cross Road, just north of Interstate 40.

And the good news is that it’s inside the Winston city limits. The apartments that have been proposed for the property behind the Cracker Barrel site is going through site plan review.

Illustrating that contrary to what most believe (or associate) Zipcode boundaries and the associated Zipcode area names have nothing to do with political boundaries. The USPS establishes Zipcode areas and names them in accordance with efficient delivery of the mail. The point, one might live in one place but indicate another based upon the postal name.

Amazon confirmed Wednesday it will begin operating a 1 million-square-foot fulfillment center in Kernersville in 2020 with about 1,000 full-time and full-time- equivalent employees.

Amazon signed July 26 a lease for up to 40 years with Atlanta real-estate developer HPC Seefried for an industrial site off Old Greensboro Road inside the Guilford County limits.

Right, admittedly I don't know how this works, but wouldn't revenue from this part of Kernersville go to Guilford - how is that kept straight? And guaranteed, Amazon and the rest of the world considers the new "fulfillment center" in Greensboro. Oh, and give me a break, is it a pejorative now to say Distribution Center - is it really necessary to use fulfillment center - crapola.

These industrial/warehouse facilities in Guilford should be among the biggest tax revenue generators for Kernersville and it allows Kernersville collect 'city' tax revenue from Guilford County and spend it mostly in their city limits in Forsyth County. This can lower taxes for residents and/or pay for parks, attractions, business park developments, sidewalks, etc.,. It also allows Kernersville to market itself as home to major employer names in another county, like Amazon and FedEx Ground, which can potentially help to bring more employers to Forsyth County, providing tax revenue for Winston-Salem and suburban and rural areas of the county.
