Does Project Circle sound as though it could be Krispy Kreme? The company recently closed a facility in the MidWest & was transferring production back to W-S....

Forsyth County has reached the public hearing stage for two more economic-development projects involving manufacturers, this time with a potential combined 279 jobs at stake. https://t.co/hcb3oPqUhQ

I was looking-through my messages this morning and someone sent me a clip from a daytime talk show that had a rip-off of Winston-Salem's Art-O-Mat. The video showed a Chicago woman starting-up a company that converted snack vending machines into art vending machines. Local artists can sell their art through the machines and all of the profit goes to the artists. They are painted, just like the Art-O-Mat machines, and one was in a museum. She has two set-up so far. Her machines take credit cards and money instead of special coins. Her machines can also dispense larger art and stickers, roughly the size of a small bag of chips. The talk show gave her money and I'm sure being on that show will help her expand. How do you see this impacting Winston-Salem's famous Art-O-Mat? Is this the replacement?

Is Art-O-Mat patented or copyrighted? If so, they should take legal action.

It looks like Art-O-Mat has been trademarked:

CONFIRMED:

Project Circle = Krispy Kreme

Project Eleven = Nelipak Healthcare Packaging

Both economic-development incentives resolutions were approved.

To add to the post from WolpFack, this is from the TBJ today: "Krispy Kreme plans to create at least 180 jobs and invest $5.8 million in food products manufacturing in Winston-Salem, and Rhode Island medical packager Nelipak hopes to invest $20.3 million in Forsyth County and create at least 79 jobs."

I like it! The diversity of products the machine can hold is an improvement over the single-size format required by the Art-O-Mat. And since the Art-O-Mat name is not copied or paraphrased, I see no potential infringement issues. There's also an appeal to the machines being former distributors of candy and snacks which is not tainted by an association with cigarette marketing.
I'd love to see a few of these machines here.
