Ending excessive COVID Restrictions appears to have been a part of the Red Wave a few days ago. Many of the Republicans that won spoke on that issue as a winner for them, along with crime and education. Where I live, it's like February 2020. No masks or anything. Lauren and I visited a restaurant tonight that was completely maskless, including maskless employees. Masks and other COVID restrictions are shown to reduce the number of customers and keep fear around, which some politicians like to use for their own gain. I think Winston-Salem should drop its mask requirement and I'm seeing more people asking about it. I'm posting this as a Democrat: Restaurants and bars are doing better in restriction-free red states, like the one where I live. I will admit the restrictions are why I'm not visiting Winston-Salem and Arden in a few weeks. I've talked with people in northern states who travel to neighboring counties that don't have restrictions or leave the city to avoid masks, which seems somewhat extreme, but it is happening. I can also confirm it has impacted a convention or two.
I was talking with someone in CRE a few days ago and I said it does appear as if spaces refill as quickly as they become available (knocking on the wood frame of a Link Apartments Building). This person did confirm that and spoke of a deal or two (tenants not named) to fill empty spaces. Sadly, Finnigans wasn't among them, but the space is very desirable and it's believed it will fill very quickly.
