I would like for the owners of Winston Tower to look into creating a light show on the eastern and western sides of their building. I think this could be something awesome for the City of Arts & Innovation. It could attract more creative companies to Winston Tower as well. It's a great advertisement to get more people looking at Winston Tower and really noticing it in a positive way. It would be interesting to have something in Civic Plaza for the western side and Bailey Park on the eastern side, allowing people to change the lights through actions. Maybe a sensitive pad someone could dance on that could detect movement and weight to create colorful light displays, as an example? It could also be connected to bands performing downtown to change lights and colors with their music? Maybe some type of music instrument you can play that makes music in the park and changes the lights and colors on the building?

Here are some displays in other cities.

I think this building displays songs downloaded from the company in lights?

I really want to see "permanent" light art in Winston-Salem. Not something that is here for just a week or month, but something there all the time. We have the people to do this and it could add a very creative and memorable cool factor to the city. It can also be designed, so the display is different all the time.
